We believe privacy builds trust. Here's exactly what FocusWing does and doesn't do with your data.
The short version
No app tracking
We don't see or record which apps are used on the phone.
No message access
Texts, DMs, and chats are completely private.
No browsing access
We never see or store browsing history.
No selling data
Your information is never sold to third parties.
Teen-controlled sharing
Teens decide what parents can see, and can revoke anytime.
Trust, not control
Designed to build family trust, not enable surveillance.
What we collect
Name or nickname
Used only for personalization within the app. You can use any name you like.
Focus session data
Session duration, whether you completed it, and the intention you set. This is stored locally on your device by default.
Device identifier
A random identifier (not your phone's ID) to associate sessions with your device if you choose to sync.
What we don't collect

Real name, email, or phone number
Not required for basic use

We don't track where you are

Contacts, photos, or files
We have no access to your personal data

We don't know what other apps you use

Advertising identifiers
No ads, no ad tracking
Teen-controlled sharing
If a teen chooses to share their progress with a parent:
- The teen generates the share code — no one else can create it
- The teen selects exactly what data to share
- Share codes expire automatically after 7 days
- The teen can revoke access at any time
Nothing is shared without the teen's explicit action.
Data storage & security
Local storage by default
Focus sessions are stored on your device using iOS's secure storage. Data stays on your phone unless you choose to sync or share.
Encrypted transmission
When data is synced to our servers (only if you use sharing features), it's transmitted via HTTPS and encrypted at rest.
Right to delete
You can delete your data at any time. Uninstalling the app removes local data. Contact us to delete any server-stored data.
Children's privacy
FocusWing is designed for teenagers ages 13 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@focuswing.app and we will delete it.
